Last year one of my client requested me to have a low cost firewall in their office network. It was an Active Directory 2008 domain consists of more than 50 workstations. Their requirement was simple. I should block access to all kind of mail servers, on line storage sites, job sites, news sites etc. And this should be done in a minimal cost. K7 came into my mind, and I had consulted with their sales team. I downloaded K7 enterprise security trail version and configured. Everything was blocked as per their requirement. But with in minutes I got may calls from their employees..Google is also blocked. With out Google this animation company cannot survive. OK..I allowed google..but the problem was gmail is also available to them!!!! I blocked may gmail urls..but no use. K7 cant block gmails while allowing google. Many permutation and combinations..no use. :( I called k7 support team..they had also tried. My call got escalated to higher level. No Use.
